A51 Tattoo is dedicated to providing you with a Safe, Expertly designed and executed custom Tattoo.
Our Tattooers are Licensed for Body Art through the State of Illinois as well as the City of Crystal Lake.
All are certified in Blood borne Pathogens Training updated annually.
Our Tattooers have served and graduated a Professional Apprenticeship.
A51 Tattoo uses an ALL DISPOSABLE set up with SINGLE USE NEW needles.
Equipment is openend and assembled in front of the client ALWAYS.
All inks used are VEGAN FRIENDLY.
All Tattooers at A51 are well versed in many different styles of tattoos. Please check out our portfolios, we are happy to help out in the designing process, so ask any and all questions that come to mind.

Absolutely love!!! Desirea was my artist and I cannot say enough great things! Her work is amazing. Additionally, it was my first tattoo so she was very through with explaining the process and making sure I understood what was happening throughout the process. She also made sure I understood the aftercare process and was very adamant that I contact her or the team with any questions/concerns I had with my healing tattoo. What an awesome shop! This was my first tattoo, and now I'm planning for my second! The store is super clean, and Covid certified! Khalid did my tattoo, and sensing I was a nervous wreck, explained every step of the procedure . If you decide you want a tattoo, this is the shop you want to have it done at !!!

I got my first tattoo with Desirea and it could not have been a better experience. She took my jumbled thoughts and turned out art that was exactly what I had envisioned! She is super friendly, easy to work with, and made me feel really comfortable knowing it was my first time getting a tattoo. As for the space, Area 51 is extremely clean and takes great care with their space. Very chill vibe, and I liked the tunes playing! Overall, highly recommend!
